Hottest New Watch Releases

1. Hublot x Argentine Football Association ‘Limited Edition’

Since 2006, Hublot has served as FIFA’s official timekeeper. This journey has witnessed numerous collaborations over the years, but Hublot’s collaboration with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) is the most significant. And now, things just got better.

Hublot partnered with the Argentine Football Association to launch three new limited-edition titanium chronographs to commemorate their triumph in the 2022 World Cup.

• 42mm, Big Bang Unico Chronograph with Titanium, Ref. 441.NE.2080.RX.AFA24 
• 42mm, Big Bang Unico Chronograph with King Gold case. This is the most exclusive of them all, limited to just 10 pieces, Ref. 441.OE.2080.RX.AFA24
• 45mm, Classic Fusion Chronograph in Titanium with King Gold details. It’s a 140-piece limited edition, Ref. 521.NL.7180.RX.AFA24

All three limited-edition models prominently highlight the chronograph, which is the ultimate complication for any sporting event. In addition, all three models showcase the signature blue colour of Argentina, with the two Big Bangs embracing the team’s sky blue scheme when they play at home and the Classic Fusion rendering the team’s navy blue for away matches.

Both Big Bang models are equipped with HUB1280 – the new generation Unico Manufacture movement and the Classic Fusion houses the HUB1143.

2. Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Moonshine Gold

Omega has quietly rolled out a new slew of five Aqua Terra models in stunning Moonshine gold. For quite some time, Omega has been experimenting with materials, from 904L steel to titanium, and now it has shown its innovative spirit by experimenting with its own gold alloys. The brand’s idea is to present a slightly new offering but mostly upgrade existing properties, such as increased lustre, higher resistance to fading, etc.

Now, the brand adds alloy to its all-rounder Seamaster Aqua Terra collection. The lineup has three 41mm watches and two new 38mm editions.

The green dial variant is powered by the Calibre 8901 (made specifically for fully gold models), and the two-tone variant with the black dial, is powered by the Calibre 8900. Similarly, the 38mm models are run by the Calibre 8800 for the two-tone variant and the Calibre 8801 for the full gold variant.

 All in all, these latest Moonshine gold iterations further enhance the allure and sophistication of this elegant dress watch collection.

3. Tag Heuer Carrera ‘Blue Panda’ Chronograph Tourbillon

Tag’s beloved Carrera has an extensive history spanning over six decades. Now, the brand has released a new super exclusive ‘Blue Panda’ Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon, limited to just 50 pieces. Already available with a teal green or blue circular-brushed dial, this new limited edition watch flaunts a two-tone blue and white dial. Tag Heuer describes this combination as the ‘pure and bright atmosphere of the Alps’. Sadly, its availability is restricted to the European market.

The new Tag Heuer Carerra Tourbillon Chronograph Ref. CBS5013.FC6572 comes in a polished 42mm stainless steel case, whose design is inspired by the Heuer Carrera chronographs from the 60s. This case serves as the perfect backdrop for the modernised dial design.

The white dial is enhanced with a minute track and recessed sub-dials in deep blue. Sitting at 6 o’clock is the open-worked tourbillion that serves as the brand’s ultimate testament to precision. A bright red central seconds hand breaks the pristine white and blue colour palette while gently highlighting Tag Heuer’s logo on the face. The watch comes with a blue perforated leather strap.

It is powered by the new and improved column-wheel chronograph automatic Calibre TH20-09, an evolution of the Heuer 02, reimagined by Carole Forestier-Kasapi.

4. Swatch x Omega ‘MoonSwatch’ Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase

Swatch can’t stop releasing new MoonSwatches. But, this time, there’s no Snoopy on it. This new Swatch x Omega Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase Ref. SO33N700 has a significantly new aesthetic and pays a double homage to summer. It not only celebrates the joyful atmosphere of sunny days but also highlights the full blue Super moon (a new or full moon that comes closest to the Earth in its orbit) expected to occur on August 19. At this time, the moon appears larger than usual when viewed from Earth.

From the exterior, it’s a very ‘blue’ watch with a light blue Bioceramic case, a dark blue bezel, a silver-blue opaline dial, a blue Velcro strap, a blue Bioceramic crown and blue Bioceramic chronograph pushers. But, let’s take a minute to appreciate the dial here.

The silver opaline dial has contrasting blue sub-dials, giving it the iconic ‘Panda’ look that collectors and enthusiasts love. There’s a UV link moon phase placed at the 2 o’clock sub-dial. The UV link makes the moonphase indicator glow blue. While the dark blue outer dial track makes the Super-Luminova hour markers pop out, the white minute scale adds the right amount of contrast. Additionally, the tip of the minutes, hours and chronograph seconds hand, all coated with Super-LumiNova, glows blue. This is the first MoonSwatch with a pulsometer scale instead of a tachymeter function.

This MoonSwatch creation will be available briefly from August 1st to August 19th and only from 5 pm onward – during the ‘blue hours’.

5. Breitling Endurance Pro 38

Welcome Breitling’s ultimate athleisure watch—the Endurance Pro 38, where the smaller case seems to be the big deal. Breitling’s history is steeped in sports and athletes. The brand first introduced the Endurance Pro in 2020 with a collection of 44 mm-sized watches. Now, Breitling has given the collection a refreshed outlook with a more accessible 38mm sizing and a range of new bright colours that scream summer!

All the watches are made from Breitling’s proprietary carbon material, Breitlight. This material is highly resistant to traction, scratches, and corrosion. That’s not all – it is robust, thermally stable, nonmagnetic, and hypoallergenic. It is three times lighter than titanium and five times lighter than stainless steel.

To top it all off, the new Endurance Pro 38 watches are powered by a thermo-compensated SuperQuartzTM movement—a technology that is 10 times more precise and accurate than conventional quartz.

6. Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe

The Blancpain’s ‘Fifty Fathoms’ collection needs no introduction. Since its debut in 1953, the watches have served as the standard for dive pieces. Over the years, Breitling has reimagined its capabilities to meet evolving needs. Now, it has released two brand-new rose gold variations of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.

• The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Chronographe Flyback, Ref. 5200-3640-76S is a combination of a dive watch with a chronograph and is red gold from head to toe (case to bracelet).
• Blancpain Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune, Ref. 5054 3640 O52B, is available in red gold with a blue fabric strap.

Both these sports models have a 43mm rose gold case with a matching ceramic insert unidirectional bezel and an elegant blue gradient dial.

The all-gold flyback chronograph’s dial has a mall date display and measures a succession of elapsed times. The dial of the other mode has a central date-by-hand, two windows for the month and day, and a moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock. Here, the sub-dial is executed in blue with a subtle gradient and has gold hands and markers.

Overall, the striking combination of the red gold metal, the blue dial, complications, and overall finishing lends an elevated aesthetic to this iconic model.

7. Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition

Gold, silver, and bronze are the three colours of the medals presented as rewards at the Olympics. As the official timekeeper for the Paris 2024 Olympics, Omega has launched a unique watch that incorporates the metals of gold, silver, and bronze, celebrating the spirit of the Games.

The Olympic watch we have here is the Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition Ref. 522.92.39.21.99.001, whose vintage look is inspired by the Omega CK 859, a limited edition release from 1938, as many fans and collectors would recollect. It features a 39mm 18K Sedna™ Gold case and a 925 silver ‘Clous de Paris” hobnail dial with slender 18K Sedna™ gold hands with a special PVD bronze gold coating.

Omega adds more texture with a recessed sub-dial at 6 o’clock and a brushed minute and sub-dial track. The dark grey OMEGA logo is displayed in the brand’s classic heritage style. Around the wrist, it is worn on a brown calf-skin leather strap.

This special edition watch is a dedicated homage to sporting achievement. Turn around to spot the “BG 859” engraving and embossed and frosted medallion for the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

8. Konstantin Chaykin Limited Edition Joker Fiat Lux

Independent and highly talented clockmaker Konstantin Chaykin was already popular in horological circles. However, the release of the Joker and the Wristmons series in 2017 amplified his popularity. The limited production of the Wristmons makes them highly desirable and collectable. Now, Chaykin has breathed life into one of his most ambitious pieces from the Joker range, the ‘Fiat Lux’, meaning ‘Let there be light’.

The new Joker is housed in a 42mm stainless steel case with a poker-themed bezel. It features crowns at 3 o’clock for setting the minutes and hours and another at 9 o’clock for adjusting the moon phase. The moon phase is whimsically displayed at the bottom of the dial through a mouth-shaped opening.

The main attraction is the partially skeletonised dial, which depicts the face of a Joker. The eyes drawn across the dial have been hollowed out, ensuring legibility isn’t a problem. At the centrepiece, on the dial’s upper section, is a Clous de Paris guilloche pattern, silver plating, and multi-layered varnish coating across other elements. Other essential Joker features like the genuinely creepy smile and teeth are all portrayed perfectly, thanks to Konstantin Chaykin’s creative skeletonisation process.

This 38-piece limited edition watch is produced exclusively for the Chinese market.
